Mad Fem

With Mad Men Season Seven on everyone’s mind, the fashion world has cottoned on to this lucrative affair with the early sixties, rivalling the costumes seen in season one to three.  From the housewife haven of full skirted dresses to the office man’s sharp suit fabrics, there’s something for everyone this mid-century inspired fall.

1. Prada Fall '13, 2. Rochas Fall '13, 3. Topshop Unique '13.

Betty's Look

In an attempt to recreate Betty's feminine shape and shading, opt for this fall's favourite colour, PINK. Topshop have this great pink and blue tartan midi skirt, verging on a kilt it's ticking all the right boxes for this season.  Team with a corally pink or pastel blue cashmere jumper to tease out the skirts colour-way.  Invest in a pair of Swedish Hasbeens clogs available in an array of styles and shades!  These little beauties will take you through Summer to Winter teamed with runkled down thick woolen socks.  Add a popping pink bag and a sweet little candy floss ring, and you'll have nailed Betty's butter-wouldn't-melt day-time chic.

Peggy's Look

Think Don Draper in girl form with a little frump 'n' frills and you've found Peggy's style. Updating her work-wear wardrobe to the 21st Century, team this season's love of masculine patterns with the motto 'Pink is the new black'!  Opt for a statement jacket that will frame the female silhouette rather than hug it, like this monochrome check one from Zara.  Add feminine curves with a pencil fitted skirt and flouncy shirt tucked in, all in pink of course! With a classic black handbag and these retro looking t-bar-come-slipper heels, Peggy's office-oh-la-la look is complete!
